Traveling Comptonia is a fern-like plant that grows most often with blueberries.

The dried company leaves have distinct aromatic notes, reminiscent of resin, thyme, honey and eucalytpus. They are also rich in tannins. It can be used to spice up pork and chicken dishes, most often paired with other spices. The company also goes well with fatty fish dishes, such as salmon or mackerel. In small doses, it can also spice up an apple or pear compote, or even be consumed as an herbal tea.
